The day will start will a mindful yoga class with Kate Perna www.yoga-for-equestrians.com focusing on:
Yoga for Equestrians:
Increase strength, flexibility, and endurance. Be in your body. Learn to relax and restore during intense competition. Create a calm, focused mind. Harness your energy. Manipulate the breath so that it works for you and your horse. Feel and be your very best. Enjoy the ride.
In this workshop, we will explore how the quality of the breath and mind impact your body, your riding, and your relationship with your horse. Yoga is all about creating space, slowing down, and being mindful: the very qualities that will bring about positive changes in human/equine interactions. Improve your own energetic awareness and proprioception on the ground and watch these same qualities transfer effortlessly to your time in the saddle.
The second section of the day we will focus on a 2 part class where we work in groups on the key exercises to unlocking your horses’ suppleness and body awareness through a series of suppling ground exercises that will continue into mounted exercises which will help us encourage Body, Mind connection and harmony between horse and rider.
Kate and I will be working together to create Supple, Mutually mindful partners that help each other. You will learn how to help your horse and how to help your horse help you. Price for horse and person is $100.00 Auditing is $25.00 or bring a friend and get 2 for $40.00.
